On August 3rd, 4th, and 5th, the second European Conference of the “Chromosome 18 Registry & Research Society” will be held at the Marriot Hotel in Milan. An event of great significance for those involved in the treatment of individuals affected by chromosome 18 syndroms such as families, physicians,therapists, teachers, etc. Also a unique opportunity for those Italians who, after years of struggles, will have the opportunity to discuss issues and exchange information with regards to rare diseases which are not yet supported by a sufficient body of medical literature and still relies almost exclusively on the interactions between the affected parties and operators on the field for meaningful advances and breakthroughs.
